The AW54-OPN is an affordable Dreadnought-size acoustic guitar from Ibanez's Artwood series. That series features traditional models that have been constructed using the latest technology. The result: guitars that have a classic look with a fantastic, rich sound. The first thing of the Ibanez AW54-OPN that catches your eye is its dark colour: the top as well as the sides and the back of this great-looking western guitar are made of mahogany. As such, this guitar sounds much deeper and warmer than a similar model with a spruce top.

The top of the AW54-OPN is made of solid mahogany which makes the guitar, in contrast to laminated wood, sound richer and more open with a better projection. The large size of the dreadnought also contributes to the full, deep sound of this all-mahogany AW54. OPN stands for Open Pore Natural which means that the guitar is fitted with an extra thin layer of lacquer so that you can still see and feel the pores of the wood. The mahogany neck has a satin-gloss finish for maximum playing comfort.
